Innovation Canada Online Magazine Features Derek Clouthier

The September/October issue of Innovation Canada, the online magazine of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), features articles of interest to the youth science community.

In this issue, Derek Clouthier of Arnprior, Ontario, is highlighted as the issue's Young Innovator for his project that examined exercise, nutrition, and sleep, and how they affect the performance of elementary and high school students on a variety of tasks.

Derek was a CWSF finalist in 2006 where he won a Petro-Canada Peer Innovation Award. Now a student at the University of Guelph, Derek continues to demonstrate his self-motivation and independence. He plans to take courses while also working a co-op term so he can earn a double major in biochemistry, as well as math and statistics.
