Team Canada-ISEF 2008 Announced

Sixteen of Canada’s brightest high school scientists have been selected by Youth Science Foundation (YSF) Canada to represent Canada at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) May 11-17 in Atlanta, Georgia. Intel ISEF is the world’s largest science fair.

Team Canada-ISEF was selected by a distinguished panel of 16 university faculty, industry researchers, educators and Team Canada alumni through a competitive national selection process that began in December and concluded Sunday as part of Youth Science Month.

Last year, Team Canada-ISEF fared extremely well, bringing home numerous awards including 12 grand awards and six special awards.

This year’s Team Canada-ISEF includes 5 ISEF veterans and 11 newcomers from Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario and Québec. They are:

A media event to introduce the team is scheduled for Friday, May 9 at the Enoch Turner Schoolhouse in Toronto.
