Innovation Canada Online Magazine Features Asha Suppiah

October 15, 2007

The September/October issue of Innovation Canada, the online magazine of the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), features articles of interest to the youth science community.

In this issue, Asha Suppiah of Deep River, Ontario, is highlighted as the issue's Young Innovator for her development of an original technique for turning saltwater into drinkable water—an invention that could save many lives around the world.

Asha was a CWSF finalist from 2000 to 2005 where she won three gold and three silver medals. Most recently she has been named one of Canada’s “Top 20 Under 20,” a national recognition of leadership and achievement by Youth in Motion, an organization that aims to inspire youth career programs.
