Microsoft showcases software by CWSF and Team Canada alumnus

Medical software developed by 16-year-old CWSF and Team Canada alumnus Anthony Chiarelli of Hamilton, Ontario was featured at Microsoft Canada's 20th Anniversary of Windows celebrations this week.

Chiarelli's software encrypts patient information in digital X-rays which are accessible to doctors but protects their medical history from hackers.

Chiarelli's projects on steganography - the art of concealing data - won gold and silver medals at CWSF 2002 and 2003. In 2004, he was a member of Team Canada, winning three awards at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair in Portland, Oregon.
