Daniel Burd one of Discover Magazine's 50 Best Brains in Science for 2008

The December 2008 issue of Discover magazine includes Daniel Burd [17] of Waterloo, Ontario - winner of a gold medal, EnCana Platinum Award for Best Senior Project and the Best in Fair Award at the 2008 Canada-Wide Science Fair - in its listing of the "50 Best Brains in Science" of 2008.

Burd is featured, together with four American scientists under 20, as one of the "whiz kids tackling some of the biggest challenges in science."
